Colin 'Jaws' Lloyd
Born in Colchester in 1973, Colin Lloyd announced his arrival as a major player in the PDC in 1999, making his live TV debut and destroying established performer Alan Warriner 13-2 in the World Matchplay at the relatively young age of 26.
2002 was the year that the darts world really stood up and took notic of 'Jaws', however, and his fantastic performance in the World Championship saw him make it all the way to the semi-finals where he was beaten by eventual runner-up Peter Manley. 2 years later Lloyd picked up his first major title with Alan Warriner again the victim of a landmark performance by the Essex thrower, as Lloyd defeated 'The Iceman' in the 2004 World Grand Prix final.
The next couple of years saw Colin pick up the 2005 World Matchplay title, finish runner-up to Phil Taylor in both the World Grand Prix and Premier League the same year, whilst enjoying great success in many of the PDC tour's smaller, untelevised events.

Largely by virtue of these smaller events, 'Jaws' was the PDC's top-ranked player for a long period, recently losing that honour to Taylor and more recently dropping to 3rd behind Raymond van Barneveld. Lloyd has begun to rediscover his spark of late, as he showed by ending his Premier League challenge with two wins - including an 8-0 whitewash of Terry Jenkins, as well making the semi-finals of the 2007 Blue Square UK Open.
His interest at Bolton was ended by Raymond van Barneveld on his way to the title, but Colin's victories over Dennis Smith, Andy Smith, Kevin Painter and Steve Hine proved once again what a great player he is and he will be desperate to go one better and make it to the final at the Reebok Stadium in 2008.
